TBH, this book took me a minute to get into it. Not the book's fault I don't think, more of where my mindset was when going into the book. However, once it got going, I really did enjoy it. The writing is beautiful, the characters are great, the plot was unique. I felt like there were these "ah ha" moments where you start putting pieces together that make you feel good about yourself as a reader because you are catching on. You are really rooting for sweet January and the quest she is on along with some of the very likable side characters.

I gave this book a 5/5 based on me being willing to recommend it to others and would re-read just in case there was something I catch at the beginning of the book knowing how it ends.

SIDE NOTE: Alix E. Harrow also wrote The Once and Future Witches which I cannot recommend enough. If you haven't read it, do it now.
