The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware

Genre: Mystery/Thriller/Adult Fiction/Contemporary

This book made me want to curl up on the couch, turn my AC down to 65 (because it’s summer), put on the warmest, comfiest clothes I own and drink innumerable cups of tea. The author did a great job of developing Hal and giving you reasons to pull for her, which is a must. It was very easy to create the scenes in my mind between the Trepassen House and the, at times, tense family dynamics. I had feelings about what the twist would be but didn’t guess the whole of it which is always exciting.

I gave this book a 4/5 based on me enjoying the book and it having something that kept me reading and me being willing to recommend to others, but I would not re-read it.
